Arranged for a taxi to come pick us up in the morning from the hotel
First stop was to Maeklong Railway Market!
There were a LOT of tourists
TBH I didn’t even walk along the railway to see what they were selling along the tracks
Cuz the train was expected to arrive anytime
(me no want to risk life with my slow reflex but turns out the train was slower than a bicycle haha)
& it was way too crowded
The crowd immediately dispersed after the train passed the tracks
The driver then drove us to the 2nd stop
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
Turns out we had to pay an exorbitant amount to proceed to the market on the boat!!!
Landed in the tio-tok moment with the 3rd party floating market guy
with our Driver looking all innocent like “I drive you here but why you no like”?
We didn’t get angry and we still had our nicest smiles
Guess how much they charged?
2000 baht per adult
1000 baht per child
For 1 hr @ the floating market followed by elephant trekking
We politely declined and said that it doesn’t matter if we do not go to the floating market.
We requested for the driver to bring us away to the next stop.
Then floating market guy suggested something like
OK no elephant, only floating market 1000 each adult, 500 child
We said no thanks.
Final attempt after silence for a couple of minutes,
Floating market guy said ok everybody 1000 baht.
Though as niao as we may seem, 1000 baht can actually buy us plenty of things
But for floating market guy’s sincerity and to not disappoint Trev,
we decided to just go ahead with the final offer
Got further tocked by a Tuk Tuk souvenir
But willingly. cuz whats a floating market if we don’t shop?!
Driver then drove us to Cha Am for the 3rd stop
The Swiss Sheep Farm!
Something I’ve been looking forward!
It was reaaaaaally hot
We can’t even open our eyes
Entrance fee : Adults 120 Baht, Child 80 Baht
The leaves? Or Grass? Or whatever you call it,
Left lots of tiny pricks / sharp plant hairs in my palms!
Very pain lor, like a papercut that never goes away
We paid a few bahts more for a bottle of milk
Rides were at additional park costs
Have to purchase tickets to get on the rides
Too hot a day to be on a non-airconditioned ferris wheel
Dearest Trevie had fun running all over the place
Love his smilessssss
My happy boy
Thought we would be heading to more spots like the Cicada Market and all
But our driver sort of took it as its end of the day and drove us back to the hotel
Must be cuz we said
we only wanted to go to 2 main places in Cha Am when we used this reason to reject the floating market guy
Then maybe he also didn’t dare to bring us elsewhere
We got back to the hotel early evening and even the hotel staff were surprised we were back so early
Usually only back at night
Since we got back so early,
We washed up and made some last minute dinner plans
Headed to Somboon Seafood Restaurant at Square 1 for dinner
Atas looking place for seafood
But somehow still find it very cheap affordable
LOVED THE TYG TO DEATH
LOVED THE CURRY CRABS TO DOUBLE DEATH
Fish was Mehz
Skies looked really dark like it was gonna rain
So we quickly hopped on to a tuktuk and headed back to the hotel
End of a long Day 2!
